Our office surgery suite includes a full-size operating room and two recovery rooms where we perform major same-day (ambulatory) plastic surgery procedures Monday through Friday, every week. Our plastic surgery practice in Knoxville, Tennessee, has met the standards of the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) every year since it was opened in 1992. A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is present for every plastic surgery procedure, in addition to the Registered Nurse and the Certified Surgical Technician. Dr. Stephen Lazarus is ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified. Although fully prepared for life threatening emergencies, we are proud to say that we have never had one.
Dr. Lazarus performs over 300 major cosmetic plastic surgery procedures in the surgery suite every year. More than 4,000 patients have undergone plastic surgery from all over Tennessee at our Knoxville surgical suite since 1992.
